Halifax, NS - The Dalhousie Tigers scored late in the second half against the StFX X-Women Sunday afternoon propelling them to a 2-1 victory at Wickwire Field. The Tigers came up big on Homecoming weekend securing 6 points in two games further solidifying their chances of making the playoffs.

The X-Women came out of the gate flying as Kelsey Ellis (Ottawa, ON) scored in the opening minutes giving the X-Women the early 1-0 lead.

First year Dalhousie Striker, Shea Jeffrey-Novak (Toronto, ON) tied things up two minutes before the end of the first half, notching her 4^th goal of the year. The two sides headed into the dressing room tied at 1-1.

The 1-1 tie would hold up to the final 10 minutes of the game when Jensen Hudder (White's Lake, BC) took a through ball from Jeffrey-Novak and chipped the ball into the back of the net.

StFX tried to mount a comeback in the dying minutes but the Tigers held onto the 2-1 win.

The Tigers (4-4-2) will host Cape Breton (6-2-1) Sunday, October 25 at Wickwire Field. The X-Women (5-3-1) will travel to Memorial (5-1-3) for a two game set on October 24^th and 25^th.
