Hudder scores late propelling Tigers to 2-1 win over X-Women

Halifax, NS - The Dalhousie Tigers scored late in the second half against the StFX X-Women Sunday afternoon propelling them to a 2-1 victory at Wickwire Field. The Tigers came up big on Homecoming weekend securing 6 points in two games further solidifying their chances of making the playoffs.

The X-Women came out of the gate flying as Kelsey Ellis (Ottawa, ON) scored in the opening minutes giving the X-Women the early 1-0 lead.

First year Dalhousie Striker, Shea Jeffrey-Novak (Toronto, ON) tied things up two minutes before the end of the first half, notching her 4th goal of the year. The two sides headed into the dressing room tied at 1-1.

The 1-1 tie would hold up to the final 10 minutes of the game when Jensen Hudder (White's Lake, BC) took a through ball from Jeffrey-Novak and chipped the ball into the back of the net.

StFX tried to mount a comeback in the dying minutes but the Tigers held onto the 2-1 win.

The Tigers (4-4-2) will host Cape Breton (6-2-1) Sunday, October 25 at Wickwire Field. The X-Women (5-3-1) will travel to Memorial (5-1-3) for a two game set on October 24th and 25th
