Women's Soccer Recap

The Dalhousie women's soccer team (5-1-1) brought their winning streak to five tonight, beating hometown rival Saint Mary's (0-7-0).  The Tigers repeatedly beat the Huskies to the ball, scoring their first goal within the first 15 minutes of play thanks to Megan WilloxMonica Diab, a new addition to the Tigers after transferring from SMU, added Dal's second goal at the 22 minute mark. 

With less than 15 minutes of play left, Dal striker, Bianca Jakisa, received a yellow card for tripping and was quickly substituted.  Dal's final goal was scored right before the 80 minute mark by Jenna Goobie, bringing the game's final score to 3-0.  The Huskie's put up a fight with multiple chances on net but they just couldn't pull it off, making this Dal's third win over SMU.  With this win, the Tigers maintain their lead in the AUS with 16 points.

The Tigers play their next game this Saturday at UPEI at 2:00 pm.
