Thompson leads Tigers to 1-0 win over MtA

The women's hockey Mounties fell short to the Dalhousie Tigers 1-0 on Sunday. The team was promoting Bell Let's Talk along with their senior players who played their last home game of the regular season.   

The first period went without a goal, but Jennifer Thompson, assisted by Victoria Macintosh brought the Tigers a 1-0 lead at 15:44 of the second period. Tigers goalie Jessica Severeyns earned the shutout, turning away 13 shots.

Prior to the start of the game the Mounties celebrated graduating seniors Keri Martin and Gabby VautourMartin starred in her final home game as a Mountie, making 41 saves for the home sideThe 2nd graduating senior, Vautour, was named the Mounties Subway Player of the Game.   

The Dalhousie Tigers now stand with an 11-9-0 record and will host the Saint Mary's Huskies next Sunday at 1:30pm. The Mounties standing at 3-15-3 and will hit the road to play UPEI on February 3rd, make sure to tune in on austv.ca.
