(Halifax, N.S.)- The Dalhousie Tigers won 6-2 in a home game at the Civic Arena on Saturday night. The game was fast-paced on both sides, but the score was ramped up by the MacLean- Phillips-Rietveld line, who scored five of the Tigers six goals.

Jesse Rietveld (Pelham, ON), was the first player to put a point on the scoreboard with a quick shot from the slot, assisted by Tigers captain Lisa MacLean (Inverness, NS). Rietveld is ranked 15th in the AUS, while MacLean is ranked second. The Mounties came back late in the period to tie the score, with Maddy Koughan (Mermaid, PE) potting one in a net-front scramble. In the last minute of the period, Annika Rose (Vancouver, BC) fired a goal from the point, ending the period on a high note for the Tigers at 2-1. The Tigers were outshot in this period 13-7, but bolstered by a strong performance by Fabiana Petricca (Woodbridge, ON) who currently has a 91.5% save percentage.

The Tigers started out strong in the second, with a goal from the slot scored by Phillips. She then went on to pot another goal in a tip five minutes later.

In the third, Mounties player Jessica Desautels (Oakville, ON) scored their second goal in a battle in front of the net. The Tigers gained momentum after this, with Rietveld scoring her second of the game and Phillips scoring her third. This is Phillips' first AUS hattrick, which earned her Subways Player of the Game honours.

The Mounties will face off against Moncton next Friday, while the Tigers will take on StFX tomorrow afternoon at the Halifax Forum.
