Women's Hockey

The women's hockey team hosted the St Thomas Tommies at Alumni Arena tonight.

After last night's hard loss to StFX, the Tigers had the chance to rebound and end the weekend on a high note. Both teams played strong and kept the first period scoreless.

With seven minutes left in the second period, rookie Lisa MacLean scored, giving Dal the lead. To start off the third period, STU had an opportunity to tie things up with a five on three power play but the Tigers held a tight triangle and kept the Tommies at bay.
Things started getting physical with less than ten minutes in the game, with the Tommies trying to tie things up. Goalie Mati Barrett had a crucial save with 25 seconds on the clock.  Dal came away with the win (1-0) in their home season opener.

The Tigers will play their next game on Oct. 25 against Mount Allison at 7pm.
