The Memorial Sea-Hawks swept the Dalhousie Tigers in their weekend series with their win on Sunday, 79-66.

Memorial continued their successful habits in Sunday's game, pushing the ball and getting out in transition early and often. Many of these opportunities came off of Dalhousie turnovers, echoing unfortunate trends for the Tigers. Dalhousie struggled once again to maintain any kind of consistent offense, as they were plagued by turnovers in the first half.

Memorial was able to post solid numbers in the first half. They shot the ball decently, posting field goal percentages in the high thirties, going 5/15 from deep as well. They were also the dominant team in the rebounding categories, making extra hustle plays to give the Hawks a boost. At the end of the half they had secured a solid twenty point lead, 42-22.

The second half was another solid performance for the Hawks, but the Tigers did make a late game push in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, it was too little, too late. The Hawks maintained their lead throughout the rest of the game, despite the improved shooting from Dalhousie, especially from deep – the Tigers finished the game shooting 9/17.

For Memorial, Hallie Nickerson (#23) had another great scoring performance, posting a respectable 26. Jane Baird (#4) also contributed a solid 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Sammi Deakin-Sharpe (#21) was a key contribution off the bench for Memorial, putting up 21 points.

Dalhousie's Chelsea Slawter-Wright led the Tigers with a team-high 10 points and added six rebounds. Lia Kentzler and Chloe Wilson chipped in nine points apiece. Wilson also had eight rebounds.

The Hawks face Acadia next weekend in a weekend series away from the fieldhouse.
