(Halifax, N.S.) - The Laurier Golden Hawks defeated the UQaM Citadins during the third contest of the Lawtons Centennial Women's Basketball Tournament. The result of the game would give both teams a record of 1-1 heading into tomorrow's third and final game of the tournament.

Laurier had an impressive 83% at the free throw line and connected 65% of their 3 point attempts.

The Citadins battled hard down low throughout the whole game as they came out with 36 total points in the paint as compared to the Golden Hawks' 22.

The Player of the game for Laurier was #12 Brianna Iannazzo who also scored the most buckets for the team with a total number of 25.

The Citadins player of the game was #12 Queteline Celestin. Celestin and her teammate Jessica Lubin tied for the game point leaders, each with a total of 17.

Tomorrow marks the last day of the tournament as the Citadins take on the undefeated Saint Mary's Huskies at 10 am. After that game, the Golden Hawks will battle it out against the Tigers at noon.
