Chris Weeks is the U SPORTS men’s swimmer of the week, after shining at the AUS Swimming Championships this weekend. The rookie from St. John’s had an exciting showcase, placing first in the 50m butterfly, 50m freestyle, 100m butterfly and 100m freestyle. Weeks was also awarded the AUS Male Rookie of the Year, the AUS Male Swimmer of the Year, the AUS Championships Male Rookie of the Meet as well as the AUS Championships Male Swimmer of the Meet.

Weeks and the Sea-Hawks will head to Pointe-Claire, Que., for the U SPORTS Championships set for March 7-9.

Reagan Crowell, Dalhousie

Reagan Crowell is named the U SPORTS women’s swimmer of the week after her showing at the AUS Swimming Championships last weekend in Halifax. The second-year medical science student walked home with six gold medals over the course of the three-day competition. With a series of outstanding performances, Crowell touched the wall first in the 100m freestyle, 200m freestyle, 400m freestyle, 800m freestyle, 4x200m freestyle relay and the 4x400m freestyle relay. In addition, she got silver in the 400m individual medley.

The Dalhousie Tigers are back in the water from March 7-9 for the U SPORTS Championships, to be hosted by McGill in Pointe-Claire, Que.
