(HALIFAX, NS) The Dalhousie Tigers defeated the Sherbrooke Vert et Or 3 - 0 on Saturday afternoon in Dalplex. This was the second leg of the doubleheader match-up between the two teams this weekend.

The first and third sets were tightly contested battles in which Dalhousie won 25-23 and 26-24. The Tigers dominated in the second set, taking advantage of an abundance of Sherbrooke errors, winning 25-15.

The final set was a back and forth affair in which each team stayed within three points of each other throughout the set. The game concluded with a great defensive play by Jeffrey Walton (Sudbury, ON) who blocked the Sherbrooke attacker and secured a second Dalhousie win in as many days.

Kobe Shannon (Halifax, NS) had nine kills, while Graham Schmuland (Calgary, AB) and Walton (Sudbury, ON) both had eight kills respectively, to lead the Tigers offensively.

The Subway Player of the Game was Matthew Woods, a 6'6 senior who earned five kills, two digs and one block.

Sherbrooke ends the regular season on a seven-game losing streak to finish with a 1-14 record.

Dalhousie looks to continue their momentum when they host the undefeated (11-0) Laval Rouge et Or in back-to-back matches next weekend.
