The Dalhousie Tigers won the final two sets and defeated the Montreal Carabins 3-0 (25-23, 23-25, 25-18, 25-21) in AUS-RSEQ interlock women's volleyball action at the Dalplex Saturday afternoon.
Dalhousie won the first set 25-23, and the Carabins rallied back to win the second set 25-23. The Tigers never took their feet off the gas pedal and won the final two sets. Bryan Duquette ended the game emphatically with a strong kill.
The Tigers are now 2-0 in interlock play after defeating the Laval Rouge et Or last night and are on a three-game winning streak.
Halifax native Alex Dempsey had another great game for the Tigers, recording 12 kills and 3 digs on the day. Kristen O'Brien also had 12 kills for the Tigers.
Alyson Francillon had 11 kills for the Carabins, who are now 1-1 on the weekend after losing to the UNB Varsity Reds last night (3-2).
The Carabins will finish off their weekend with a game against the Memorial Sea-Hawks at 6:00pm at the Dalplex tonight. The Tigers play the Sherbrooke Vert et Or at 8:00pm tonight.
