The Dalhousie Tigers remain atop the standings after the second day of competition at the 2015 Subway AUS Swimming Championship. They won seven of the eleven individual events on the day, while both their men's and women's teams won the relay events as well.
For the second day in a row, Acadia's Rebecca MacPherson won the first event of the day, finishing almost a second ahead of teammate Laura Beck in the 100m backstroke. Fellow Acadia swimmer Hayden Adams finished in first in the men's event, just .05 seconds ahead of Dalhousie's Sean Berrigan.
Phoebe Lenderyou won her third event of the championship when she won the 50m butterly by over a full second. Memorial's Owen Daley came away on top of the men's event, finishing over a full second over Acadia's Patrick Henger.
Both the Dalhousie men's and women's teams swept the podium in the 400m freestyle events, with Katie Webster, Alison Grant and Meagan Bernier placing first, second and third, respectively. Kyle Watson, Gavin Dyke and Peter Inches finished first, second and third in the men's event, respectively.
It was another win for the Tigers in the women's 200m breaststroke event, with Paige Crowell and Keishia Mills finishing first and second. Acadia's Luc Boudreau finished ahead of Dalhousie's Jeremy Ryant to take the men's event.
The Tigers notched yet another win when Lucy MacLeod edged out Mount Allison's Allison Loewen to take first place in the 50m freestyle. Memorial's Owen Daley found himself atop the podium for the second time on the day in the men's event, finishing just ahead of Dalhousie's Tony Liew.
The 200m butterfly events were up next, and Dalhousie two more wins as Rachel Shin and James Profit won the women's and men's events, respectively.
To day came to a close with the 800m freestyle relay events. The Dalhousie women's team of phoebe Lenderyou, Meagan Bernier, Katie Webster and Alison Grant set a new AUS record with an 8:15:60 time. The men's team of Kyle Watson, Gavin Dyke, Peter Inches and Chris Reith finished first in the men's event, finished three seconds ahead of Acadia.
On the women's side, the standings remain unchanged as Dalhousie leads with Acadia and UNB beind them. The men's side remained constant as well, with Dahousie holding a commanding lead over Acadia and Memorial.
