Swim Tigers dominate during the second day of the Subway AUS swim championships

It was another successful day in the pool for the Tigers at the AUS championships. They added 11 gold, four silver and five bronze medals in the 14 events held today.

The Tigers were led by fifth-year swimmer David Sharpe who collected two gold medals (100m backstroke and 200m butterfly) and gave one to a very happy young fan watching the meet in the stands.

Joe Ur (50m butterfly and 800m freestyle relay), Molly Wedge (50m freestyle and 800m freestyle relay), Meagan Bernier (400m freestyle), Kyle Watson (400m freestyle), Keishia Mills (200m breaststroke), Rachel Shin (200m butterfly), women's 800m freestlye relay (Wedge, Ainsley Fraser, Alison Grant and Paige Crowell) and the men's 800m freestyle relay (Ur, Watson, Darragh Somers and Chris Reith) all added to the Tigers gold medal wins.

The women are leading with 264, 96 points ahead of second place UNB and the men also sit in first place with 273.5 points, nearly 150 more than second place Memorial.

The final day of competition starts tomorrow morning with heats at 10am, followed by the finals at 5pm.
