AUS Invitational Meet

Day two of the AUS Invitational wrapped up this afternoon at Dalplex. The finals started off with the Tigers sweeping the women's 800M Freestyle with Katie Webster in first, Meagan Bernier in second and Paige Robillard in third.In the men's 1500M Freestyle, Tiger Kyle Watson took the top spot, while MUN's Gavin Dyke came second and Acadia's Collin Reynolds came third.In the women's 100M Butterfly, Tiger Rachel Shin touched the wall first, followed by Acadia's Jessica Bent in second and UNB's Kate Lantz in third. In the men's 100M Butterfly, UNB's Eyad Albassiouny took the top spot, followed by Tiger Keith Andrews. Acadia's Thomas Frazer touched third. Tiger Paige Crowell came first in the women's 100M Breaststroke. Tigers Keishia Mills and Cara McCallum followed in second and third. Luc Boudreau of Acadia touched the wall first in the men's 100M Breaststroke. Tigers Nik Taylor and Tony Liew followed, touching second and third. In the women's 200M Backstroke, Dal's Ceilidh MacPherson finished first. Acadia's Kristen MacPherson touched second, followed by Tiger Paige Robillard. David Sharpe of Dalhousie took the top spot in the Men's 200M Backstroke. Following four seconds behind was Acadia's Hayden Adams and in third was Collin Reynolds, also of Acadia. In the women's 50M Freestyle, Tiger Molly Wedge touched the wall first, followed by Mounties Allison Loewen and Marya Peters in second and third. In the men's 50M Freestyle, Tiger Joe Ur came first, followed closely but fellow Tiger, Nigel Champion. Acadia's Luc Boudreau touched third. In the women's 400M IM, Tiger Rachel Shin touched the wall first, a full 20 seconds ahead of second place. Touching second was UNB's Cassey Mooney, followed by Acadia's Eliza McGuire in third. Tiger James Profit has his first win of the meet, touching first in the men's 400M IM. Taylor Dalke touched second, followed by Dylan Mcleod in third. Both are on the Varsity Reds. Amanda Green of the Varsity Reds was the first to the wall in the women's 50M Backstroke. Acadia's Kristen MacPherson followed in second and Dal's Laura MacMillian came third. In the men's 50M Backstroke, Tiger Joe Ur had his second win of the finals, touching first. Mountie Andrew Reeder finished second, followed by Tiger Chris Reith. The Tigers had another sweep in the women's 200M Freestyle. Molly Wedge took first, Ceilidh MacPherson took second and Katie Webster took third. Tiger Kyle Watson also had his second win in the finals, touching first in the men's 200M Freestyle. Sea-Hawk Gavin Dyke touched second, followed by Tiger Darragh Somers. In the women's 400M Freestyle Relay, Dalhousie's A team took the top spot. Following ten seconds later was MtA's A team and in third was Dal's B team. In the last event of the meet, the Tigers took the top spot in the men's 400M Freestyle Relay. Acadia's team finished second, followed by MtA's team. After 36 events, Dalhousie came out on top with 625.5 points, followed by Acadia with 224.5 points and UNB in third with 216 points.
