Men's soccer adds Ndopedro for 2022-23

Dalhousie Tigers men’s soccer head coach Alan Jazic is pleased to announce the commitment of Jared Ndopedro for the 2022-23 season.

Hailing from Campbellton, New Brunswick, Ndopedro has played with the Soccer New Brunswick, New Brunswick High-Performance Academy, and the Codiac Soccer Club for the past two years.

A left-winger, he has been a member of the New Brunswick provincial team for six years and has helped lead them to three Atlantic Championship titles. In November 2021, Ndopedro caught Coach Jazic’s eye at a Suburban Football Club East Coast Combine in Bedford after earning player of the game honours in his first match.

“I am very excited,” says Ndopedro. “University soccer has been something I wanted to accomplish for a while now, and it’s finally becoming a reality!”

Ndopedro will be studying community design at Dalhousie.

“I’m really excited to be welcoming Jared to the Tigers Family,” says Jazic. “Jared is very explosive and dynamic player who loves to attack and take on defenders. Off the field he has an incredible life story, which shows how resilient he is as a young man when faced with challenges. I'm excited to work with Jared and I know he will be successful both academically and athletically here at Dalhousie.”

The Tigers finished the 2021 regular season with a record of 4-5-3 to finish in a tie for seventh place and missed the AUS championship.
