Tigers add Workman for 2021-22 season

Dalhousie Tigers men’s soccer head coach Alan Jazic is pleased to announce the commitment of Riley Workman for the 2021-22 season.

Hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Workman currently plays for the Halifax City Soccer Club in the Soccer Nova Scotia senior men’s AAA division. The 6’0 winger was a member of the Vancouver Whitecaps Academy in Nova Scotia for three years before joining Halifax City.

A member of the Citadel High School soccer team, Workman and his teammates won both the 2019 and 2020 Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation provincial titles.

“I’m thrilled to be playing for Dalhousie next year,” says Workman. “It is an outstanding school in both academics and athletics. I hope to help the team compete at the top of the AUS for years to come.”

Workman will be studying engineering at Dalhousie.

“I’m really excited to be welcoming Riley to the Tigers Family,” says Jazic. “Riley is a very athletic and dynamic soccer player. He has a tireless work rate and works extremely hard offensively and defensively. I really like his versatility and ability to play multiple positions on the field. More importantly, he’s a fantastic teammate and a well-rounded young man. Riley will be a key contributor for us for years to come.”

The COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the 2020-21 men’s soccer team’s season.
