Tigers add Myatt for 2021-22 season

Dalhousie Tigers men’s soccer head coach Alan Jazic is pleased to announce the commitment of Hudson Myatt for the 2021-22 season.

Hailing from Bedford, N.S., Myatt suits up for Halifax West High School and helped lead them to a gold medal win at the 2017 Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation (NSSAF) provincial championship. They earned a silver at the 2018 championship.

A current member of the Farias Soccer Academy, Myatt played for the Dunbrack United Soccer Club and helped his teammates to a U15AAA Soccer Nova Scotia provincial championship win in 2017, earning a berth at the Canada Soccer national championship.

“I am extremely proud to be accepted to such a prestigious school,” says Myatt. “I’m excited to represent the University, become a Tiger and play on the soccer team.”

Myatt will be studying kinesiology at Dalhousie.

“I’m really excited to be welcoming Hudson to the Tigers family,” says Jazic. “Hudson is an extremely hard worker in the midfield area. He battles extremely hard in the middle of the park and has a great ability to intercept passes and start the transition. He’s a great passer who sees the field well and makes solid decisions on the ball. He’ll be a huge addition to our squad over the next four plus years.”

The Tigers 2020-21 season was cancelled by the COVID-19 pandemic, but hopes to return to the pitch for the 2021-22 season.
