Dalhousie men’s hockey coach Chris Donnelly, is pleased to announce the addition of Ryan Verbeek to the 2017-18 men’s hockey roster.

Verbeek comes to the Tigers after four seasons in the Canadian Hockey League (CHL).

The 6’0 centre started his career with the Windsor Spitfires in 2012. He moved on to the Kingston Frontenacs midway through the 2013-14 season where he stayed until 2016. Verbeek ended his CHL career with the Drummondville Voltigeurs in the 2016-17 season after spending the first half of it with the Chicoutimi Sagueneens. He scored 20 goals and had 22 assists for 42 points in his 255 career games.

 “I couldn’t be more excited about coming to Dalhousie,” says Verbeek. “I’m really looking forward to playing for the Tigers.”

Verbeek is currently enrolled in Dalhousie Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and joins a young but talented roster looking to shock the AUS this coming fall.

”We are very happy to have Ryan joining our program,” says Donnelly, “We look forward to his presence in the dressing room and on the ice.  It’s hard to find someone who doesn’t speak very highly of Ryan’s exceptional work ethic and team-first mentality, which makes him a perfect fit for the style of game we play.”
