Eddy commits to Tigers for 2021-22 season

Dalhousie Tigers men’s basketball head coach Rick Plato is pleased to announce the commitment of Jeven Eddy for the 2021-22 season.

Eddy hails from Toronto, Ontario and is graduating from Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia this spring. A small forward, Eddy averaged 10.5 points, eight rebounds and two assists per game the 2020-21 season.

Before attending Oak Hill, Eddy suited up for St. Mary Catholic Secondary School in Pickering, Ontario, where he was named the team MVP for the 2019-20 season.

“I feel that this is a great opportunity to further my basketball and academic careers,” says Eddy. “I can’t wait to arrive on campus and get started!”

A member of the honour roll at Oak Hill, Eddy will be studying kinesiology at Dalhousie.

“I am very pleased to announce the addition of Jeven to our program,” says Plato. “Coming from such an esteemed basketball program like Oak Hill Academy, I know that Jeven’s experience will provide the confidence and abilities to make an immediate impact with the Tigers. His versatility as a stronger interior defender and rebounder, along with his athleticism and skill set will allow him to make a real impact at both ends of the court. The sky is the limit for Jeven, and I have no doubt that he will be a force in the AUS for years to come.”

The 2020-21 men’s basketball season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
