This week’s flashback Friday we are featuring our 2007-08 men’s swim team. The team captured the AUS championship that year for the tenth consecutive season. This championship marked the the first time any team had achieved 10 consecutive championships and that has no increased to a record streak of 18 in a row which was continued last weekend when the 2015-16 teams won the AUS championships in the Dalplex pool.

Phillipe Boilard, Bryan Fumerton, Robin Grant, Brannyn Hale, Kostya Kharitonov, Corey Knickle, Adam Salsman, Dmitry Shulga, Bryce Tung, and Doug Young were all named AUS All-stars that season. Fumerton earned AUS Rookie of the year honours as well as AUS Championships Rookie of the Meet honors to compliment his all-star status. Brannyn Hale took home both AUS Swimmer of the Year and AUS Championships Swimmer of the meet awards as well.

Head Coach David Fry won his 5th consecutive AUS Coach of the Year award. He would go on to win the award another five more times consecutively.

The qualifying members of the 2015-2016 team heads to the CIS Swimming Championships February 25-27 at Université de Laval to compete against the top swimmers in Canada.
