PepsiCo Athletes of the Week (ending Nov. 30)
Congratulations to our PepsiCo athletes of the week: Emilie Schofield and Quinn Nolan
Dalhousie University presents our PepsiCo Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 30, 2025.
Emilie Schofield, Swimming
Fifth-year swimmer and Women’s Team Captain Emilie Schofield led the Tigers to a dominant victory at the 2025 AUS Kemp-Fry Invitational, the peak meet of the fall macro and the most competitive event of the season so far.
Emilie delivered an outstanding performance, capturing four individual event wins—the 800 Freestyle, 400 IM, 200 Backstroke, and 200 IM. Three of these swims ranked within the Dalhousie Swimming all-time Top 10, and she achieved U SPORTS qualification standards in all four events. She was also a key contributor to the team’s victorious relay performances, helping secure the Tigers’ overall success.
Head coach Lance Cansdale praised her exceptional form, stating:
“This is the best I have ever seen Emilie this early in the season. I anticipate great results in the future!”
Originally from Miramichi, NB, Emilie is completing her studies in Kinesiology.
Quinn Nolan, Swimming
Quinn delivered a dominant performance at the 2025 AUS Kemp-Fry Invitational, entering the meet with the ambitious goal of sweeping all four 50m sprint events—and achieving exactly that. Quinn won the 50m Freestyle, 50m Backstroke, 50m Breaststroke, and 50m Butterfly, all in personal-best times. Each of these swims now ranks within the Dalhousie Swimming All-Time Top 10, and he set two new DAL Varsity Records in the 50m Breaststroke and 50m Butterfly.
Quinn’s excellence didn’t stop there. He earned U SPORTS qualification in the Butterfly, Backstroke, and Breaststroke events, and helped seal the Tigers’ overall victory by leading off the 400m Freestyle Relay to a first-place finish.
Head coach Lance Cansdale highlighted Quinn’s continued growth and potential, noting:
“Quinn has focused as a mature athlete and has continued to improve since coming to DAL. And I still see so much more upside.”
Originally from London, ON, Quinn is in his fifth year of eligibility and is completing his Master’s in Resource & Environment Management.
