Women's swimmer of the week: Reagan Crowell, Dalhousie

This past weekend, Dalhousie’s Reagan Crowell had an outstanding performance securing wins in the 50m, 200m, 400m and 800m freestyle events. Crowell has touched the wall first beating out her competitors in all 16 races she has entered this season. The 5th year all-star also recorded the fastest female split in the mixed relay. Her weekend ended with another win in the 50m freestyle eliminator event.

Reagan along with the Dalhousie swim team compete next in their hometown at Dalplex on the weekend of Fe. 23-25 at the AUS Championships.

Men's swimmer of the week: Hazem Issa, McGill

  • Year of Eligibility: 3rd
  • Academic Program: Engineering

On Sunday, McGill’s Hazem Issa finished first to take home Athlete of the Meet honours at the fourth RSEQ University Cup competition of the season. Issa totalled the highest score over the weekend with 598 points, winning two golds and two silvers. In addition, the civil engineering junior won the 50m freestyle which qualified him for the U SPORTS championship and assisted McGill to a victory in the 4x100 medley relay.

Hazen along with the McGill swim team compete next in the RSEQ Championship at Laval in Quebec City from Feb. 16-18.
