Second-year swimmer Liam Ferguson is this week’s male PepsiCo Athlete of the Week.
Liam led Dalhousie to a first-place team finish at the Tigers annual Kemp-Fry Invitational Swim Meet this past weekend.
He won two individual events during the three-day meet including the 50m butterfly and backstroke events. He tied the Dalhousie record in the 50m butterfly with a time of 24.69 which was previously set by Nate Campbell in 2009.
Liam earned another first-place finish as a member of the 800m freestyle relay team and placed second in the 100m backstroke with a personal-best time. He was also second in the 200m backstroke and helped the 400m freestyle and medley relay teams to second-place finishes.
A native of Upper Tantallon, N.S, Liam is a science student.
