Tigers finish seventh at U SPORTS

The Tigers men's cross country team finshed seventh at the 2021 U SPORTS Cross Country Championship hosted by the Laval Rouge et Or in Quebec City, Quebec Saturday afternoon. 

The first race of the day was the women's 8Km which saw Kelsey Hogan (Halifax, NS) and Jayne Borrens (Ottawa, ON) as the only Tigers on the course. Both athletes ran a strong race which saw Hogan crossed the line in 30:49.0 and in 42nd while Borrens was just over a minute behind her at 31:54.6 and in 78th. 

The Tigers had seven athletes in the men's race. Will Cox (Ottawa, ON) was the top Tiger in 30th, while Aidan Goslett (Toronto, ON) and Hudson Grimshaw-Surette (Yarmouh, NS) were the next to cross the line at 39th and 40th respectively. Less than thirty seconds later Nick Robertson (Charlottetown, PE) crossed the line in 47th and Daniel Rosen (Toronto, ON) in 68th. Rounding out the Tigers results was Harmon Grimshaw-Surette (Yarmouth, NS) in 86th and Alec Freeman (Halifax, NS) in 102nd place. With these results the Tigers finished in seventh, and the only AUS team in the top 15.
