2018-19 Women's Volleyball Preview

The Tigers embark on the 2018-19 season full of excitement and look to capture their seventh-consecutive AUS championship. Leading the way is fifth-year outside hitter Mieke DuMont and fourth-year players Courtney Baker, Tori Haworth, Lauren Koksowich and Alyssa Harding. DuMont, a three-time AUS all-star will provide leadership both on and off the court this season as will Baker who was the conference MVP and a first team all-Canadian last season. Haworth had a breakout season last year, earning AUS first team all-star honours for her efforts. 

Outside hitter Julie Moore returns for her second season after earning AUS rookie of the year honours last season. An AUS first team all-star and a member of the U SPORTS all-rookie team, Moore will be a player to watch this season, along with fellow second-year players Victoria Turcot and Hannah Wilkie. Third-year players Hannah Aldcorn and Cassandra Bagnell will look to build on the momentum they have developed over their first two seasons. 

Three fresh new faces will join a very seasoned squad this year. Libby Falkenham, Vienna Harwood and Sophia King join the Tigers after very successful high school and club careers. UNB transfer Megan MacNeil joins the black and gold as a redshirt after player her rookie season with the Reds.
