Third-year volleyball player Courtney Baker is currently representing Canada at the 29th Summer Universiade in Taipei.
The Halifax, N.S. native saw action in Canada's first match of the event, losing 3-1 to Switzerland in a closely contested game.
Baker has been training and competing with Canada's senior team all summer, seeing action in a number of World Cup events both here in Canada and abroad.
Team Canada takes on Ukraine in their second match of pool play on Tuesday, August 22.
