MONCTON – Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (3-7=6pts, 5th place) were no match for the Dalhousie University Tigers (9-1=18pts, 1st place) as they lost 3-0 on Friday at the CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud gymnasium, in an Atlantic University Sport women's volleyball game.

The Aigles Bleues lost 25-17, 25-12 and 25-8. Dalhousie's Victoria Haworth, chosen Subway player of the game, had 15 kills of 16 attacks for the winners. Christelle Bertin had of her team's 11 kills33 attacks and 14 digs.

Julie Moore had 11 kills in the match while Catherine Callaghan 21 digs for the Tigers.

"This was a difficult game for us," said Moncton coach, Monette Boudreau-Carroll. "We played the top team with missing tools. We lost our center player, on Wednesday this week (Bailey Lemieux). We need more time to adapt to the new plays and it was not possible to be in sync today. We are searching for the best players in their positions, we want to continue progressing with the remaining players. It was a big order for today, but the players want to continue their battle and we will do our best, on Sunday."

The Blue and Gold goes to Halifax, Sunday at 2p.m. for the return game.
