Tigers improve to 2-0 at AUS league tournament

In the afternoon, Dalhousie University Tigers blanked Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues, 3-0, by 25-20, 25-20 and 28-26 scores. Julie Moore had 21 kills and 14 digs for the Tigers while Mieke DuMont added 15 digs. Pascale Doiron registered 41 attacks and 18 kills for the Blue and Gold as well as 17 digs. Jessie Robichaud had 23 digs. Tigers setter Courtney Baker hearned Subway PLayer of the Game Honours.

The Acadia University Axewomen had great opposition and had difficulty with Saint Mary's University Huskiesas they eventually won 3-2, in an afternoon game. Acadia won 28-26, 25-18, 20-25, 13-25 and 15-12.  Lucy Glen-Carter and Lauryn Renzella each had 1kills and Kailey Evans, 19 digs for the Axewomen. Kristina Adler had 12 kills and Marissa Maccaulay, 12 digs for the Huskies. 

The Memorial University Sea-Hawks were 3-1 winners over University of New Brunswick Varsity Redsin an exciting game. The Sea-Hawks won the first two sets,27-25 and 26-24 and the fourth25-17. UNB kept hope with a 25-19 win in the third set. Emma Hackett had 15 kills and 11 digs for the Sea-Hawks and Kristen Burns, 17 kills for the Reds. 

The tournament has three games Sunday, at 12 noon, 2 p.m. and UNB plays U de M, at 4p.m. in the CEPS gymnasium.
