Tigers win 3-1 in Moncton vs. the Aigles Bleues

The Dalhousie Tigers grabbed a big win on the road in Moncton on Saturday, winning by a score of 3-1. The first place Tigers have increased thier lead in the AUS standings and have clinched a first round bye going into the playoffs.

The Tigers won a close first set 26-24. Jessica Josenhans blocked a kill attempt from Rachelle Lamoine to win the set. The Tigers dropped the second set 25-20 despite only making five errors in the frame.

Dalhousie took the third set 25-19. The Tigers rallied to win the set despite being down 14-10 at one point in the contest. The turning point of the set was a service ace from Tigers left side player Mieke DuMont, which allowed the Tigers to retake the lead. 

The Tigers would use another late set rally to take the fourth and final set 25-22 and win the match 3-1. Dalhousie was lead by Anna Dunn-Suen who registered a game high 17 kills and Amy Appleby who had three service aces.

The Tigers return to action Friday February 19th vs the Memorial Seahawks at 6pm. This game is to make up the match that was cancelled on February 6th. The Aigles Bleues are back February 19th as well when they visit the UNB Varsity Reds at 7pm.
