(HALIFAX, NS) The Tigers handed the Huskies their first lose of the weekend with a 3-1 victory on Sunday afternoon at the Dalplex. Anna Dunn-Suen (Halifax, NS) was dominant, leading the Tigers with 16 kills on the day.
SMU took the first set despite trailing for majority of it. The Tigers had a set point at 25-24 but could not capitalize on the opportunity. SMU went on to win 3 consecutive points to take the first set 27-25.
The Tigers won the next three sets 25-22, 25-23, 25-18. In the third set Dalhousie was down 20-14 and went on an impressive 11-3 run to close it out.
Dalhousie's libero Marisa Mota (Kitchener, ON) had 12 digs on Sunday and was named tournament MVP.
Both teams finished the tournament with a 3-1 record and will play each other next on Saturday, November 15th at the Dalplex.
