Tigers fall 3-1 to Sea-Hawks

The Tigers faced the Memorial Sea-Hawks in their third game of the Russell Investments Invitational tournament tonight.

The Sea-Hawks claimed the first two sets, dominating in the early stages each time. The Tigers fought hard to come back, but the Sea-Hawks held on, winning 28-26 and 25-23.

In the third set, the Tigers flipped the tables on the Sea-Hawks, claiming a 25-23 victory. Unfortunately, that would be their only win in the match as the Sea-Hawks cruised to a 25-14 win in the fourth set to end the match.

Krista Hogan led the way for the Sea-Hawks with 17 kills and eight digs, while Jill Snow added eight kills and five digs of her own.

The Tigers were led by newcomers Alexandra Hudson and Mieke Dumont who notched 11 and nine kills respectively.

Sunday's Russell Investments Invitational Tournament features Moncton and Memorial at 10am, followed by the Tigers and Saint Mary's at 12pm. The last match of the tournament will see Acadia and Moncton face off at 2pm.
