Day one of the AUS Invitational meet wrapped up this evening at Dalhousie. The afternoon finals started off with the women's 200M Butterfly. Tiger Rachel Shin placed first, bettering her preliminary time from earlier today. Following seconds behind was fellow Tiger Katie Webster and UNB's Kate Lantz in third.

In the men's 200M Butterfly, Tiger David Sharpe finished first in 1:56.69, beating the AUS and Nova Scotia record. UNB's Eyad Albassiouny finished second and Tiger James Profit in third

In the women's 50M Breaststroke, Tiger Paige Crowell took the top stop followed by, Tiger Keishia Mills in second and UNB's Lauren Adam

Dal's Liew finished first in the men's 50M Breaststroke. Acadia's Luc Boudreau came second and fellow Tiger Nik Taylor finished third

In the women's 100M Freestyle, Dal's Molly Wedge finished first with a time of 55.92, breaking the AUS and Nova Scotia record. Tiger Ceilidh MacPherson finished second and MtA's Marya Peters finished third

Tiger Joe Ur took the top spot in the men's 100M Freestyle. Gavin Dyke of the Memorial Sea-Hawks took the second spot followed by Dal's Colin Flysak.

Tiger Rachel Shin took her second event of the afternoon, placing first in the women's 200M IM. UNB's Cassey Mooney finished second, followed by MtA's Laurel White.

In the men's 200M IM, Tiger David Sharpe also took the top spot in his second event. Fellow Tiger Jeremy Ryant placed second and Acadia's Collin Reynolds finished third.

In the women's 100M Backstroke, Meagan Bernier finished first, followed by MtA's Marya Peters and UNB's Amanda Greene in third.

In the men's 100M Backstroke, Acadia's Hayden Adams touched the wall first, followed by Dal's Chris Reith and MUN's David Haines.

In the women's 50M Butterfly, UNB took the top two spots: Kate Lantz in first and Katie Hooper in second. Acadia's Kristen MacPherson came third.

Dal's Joe Ur took his second event of the meet, finishing first in the men's 50M Butterfly. UNB's Eyad Albassiouny finished second, followed by MtA's Dylan Berry.

In the women's 200M Breaststroke, Tiger Paige Crowell surprised the crowd by coming up from behind and taking the top spot. Tiger Cara McCallum, who led most of the way, came second. Crowell beat Tiger Keishia Mills, the AUS record holder in the event and who came third.

In the men's 200M Breaststroke, Acadia's Luc Boudreau took the top spot, followed by Tigers Nik Taylor and Tony Liew.

In the women's 400M Freestyle, Tiger Meagan Bernier shaved nearly four seconds off her preliminary time, to take the top spot. Tigers Katie Webster and Ceilidh MacPherson came second and third.

In the men's 400M Freestyle, Tiger Kyle Watson took his first event of the finals. Gavin Dyke of the Sea-Hawks finished second, followed by Tiger James Profit.

The Dalhousie Tigers took the women's 400M Medley Relay, followed by the UNB Varsity Reds in second and the MtA Mounties in third. The Tigers also took the top spot in the men's 400M Medley Relay, followed by the Acadia Axemen in second and the MtA Mounties in third.

After 18 events, Dalhousie sits in the top spot with 316.5 points, University of New Brunswick in second with 113 points and Acadia close behind with 100 points. The meet continues tomorrow the Dalplex.

Swimming CIS qualifying times today were Tigers Molly Wedge (100M free, 400M free), Ceilidh Macpherson (100M free, 400M free), Meagan Bernier (400M free), Paige Crowell (50M and 200M breaststroke), Keisha Mills (50M and 200M breaststroke), Cara McCullum (20M breaststroke), Paige Robillard (400M free), Katherine Webster (200M and 400M fly), Rachel Shin (200M fly and 200M im) and Alison Grant (400M free). For the men's team: David Sharpe (200M fly, 200M im), Joe Ur (50M and 100M fly), Tony Liew (50M breaststroke), Nik Taylor (200M breaststroke), Kyle Watson (400M free) and James Profit (200M fly).
