Tigers add Jack for the 2022-23 season

Dalhousie Tigers women’s soccer head coach Cindy Tye is pleased to announce the commitment of Olivia Jack for the 2022-23 season.

Hailing from Stillwater Lake, Nova Scotia, Jack currently plays for Suburban Football Club and is a member of the player pool for Nova Scotia’s 2022 Canada Summer Games soccer team. The midfielder was a member of Soccer Nova Scotia’s provincial team from 2017 to 2019 and was a member of the Atlantic Championship winning team in 2017, 2018 and 2019. She was also a member of Canada Soccer’s Regional Excel Program – Nova Scotia from 2017 to 2021.

Soon to be an alumna of Halifax West High School, Jack was named the Warriors’ soccer rookie of the year in the 2019-20 year and followed it up with the most valuable player award in 2020-21.

“I am very excited to continue my education at Dalhousie,” says Jack. “I am equally excited to have the opportunity to play the game I love while being a part of the Dalhousie women’s soccer team.”

Jack will be studying science while attending Dalhousie University.

“A key member of the provincial program over the years in Nova Scotia, Olivia is a midfielder with a strong IQ for the game,” says Tye. “She is technically and tactically sound, able to control tempo of the game, and makes those around her better. Olivia will be a welcome addition to our midfield core. A top student from Halifax West we look forward to welcoming Olivia to the Tigers!”

The Tigers finished in sixth place in the 2021-22 regular season before dropping a 1-0 result to Acadia in the AUS quarter-final.
