The Mount Allison Mounties have won their 3rd straight AUS women's soccer game as they defeated the Dalhousie Tigers 1-0 at Alumni Field on Sunday.

The game's only offense came in the 40th minute when Mounties' freshman Kathryn Perry found herself all alone on keeper Annabel Gravely after a Dalhousie turnover. Perry made no mistake as she sent the ball to the upper left corner of the net to give the Mounties a 1-0 lead.

Dalhousie pushed for the equalizer late and had chances, including a late corner kick, but Mounties keeper Sophie Austin was able to pick up her 2nd shutout of the weekend. The Mounties defeated UdeM 3-0 on Friday night as the first part of a 6 point weekend.

The Mounties now have 3 straights wins and they are undefeated in their last 4 games, leaving them with a 3-3-1 record and 10 points. The Mounties find themselves in 6th place in the 10 team league while Dalhousie (4-1-1) is currently in 4th place.

Perry was named the Subway Player of the Game for her efforts on Sunday.

Dalhousie sees their next action when they travel to Acadia on Thursday, October 7th. For their part the Mounties host UdeM on Wednesday, October 6th at Alumni Field.
