WOLFVILLE, N.S. – Despite nine shots and four landing on goal, the Axewomen soccer team had to settle for a 1-1 tie against the visiting Dalhousie Tigers.

Axewoman Jenna Boudreau (Halifax, N.S.) scored her third goal of the season at the 22 minute mark to give Acadia an early 1-0 lead. Boudreau took a clearing kick by a Dalhousie defender after a Katie Ross corner kick and found the lower corner of the net

The Tigers responded quickly three minutes later on a goal by Amanda Bowles (Burlington, ON.) to tie the game which held until the end of the match. Bowles' free kick from 30 yards out caught the top corner of the net with no chance for Axewomen keeper Emma Connell (Hampton, N.B.) to make the save.
