Tigers play to a scoreless draw with X-Women

ANTIGONISH - Goalkeeper Nicole MacDonald (Kanata, ON) earned the shutout for the StFX X-Women (5-5-3) as they played to a scoreless tie with the Dalhousie Tigers (4-5-4) in AUS soccer action Saturday afternoon at Oland Stadium.

With 10 saves, MacDonald earned Subway player of the match honours for her team, while Adele Goodfellow (Halifax, NS) got the nod for the visiting Tigers.

Tilda Hadley (Victoria, BC) earned the shutout for Dalhousie with a five-save performance.

The Tigers outshot the X-Women 22-7 in the match.

Sophomore Elise Brennan (Brookside, NS) led StFX with two shots on goal.

Both teams will wrap up the regular season Sunday, Nov. 1, with the Tigers travelling to Sydney to face the Cape Breton University Capers, while the X-Women will host the rival Saint Mary's Huskies at Oland Stadium.

A StFX victory will clinch them the final AUS playoff spot.

Opening kick-off for both matches is 1 p.m.
