Tigers take 1-0 win over Huskies

Dalhousie visited Saint Mary's Huskies Stadium on Friday, September 25th and came away with a 1-0 win for the Tigers.

There were no goals for the first half of play. This was good news to the Tigers who'd had no goals scored on them so far in the season courtesy of Dalhousie's keeper, Katy Morgan (Calgary, AB).Saint Mary's kept up a strong defense against Dalhousie's twelve shots in the first half of the game. The first half came to a close with a 0-0 tie for the Huskies and the Tigers.

With sixteen shots in the second half, the Tigers got a goal in the 57th minute from rookie Morgan MacIntosh (Halifax, NS). Dalhousie kept up a strong defense to keep their lead and clean slate with no goals against. The second half finished with a 1-0 win for the Tigers.

Dalhousie played again on Saturday against the Memorial Seahawks who brought an end to the Tigers' clean record. The Seahawks won the game 2-1 against the Tigers and took another win on Sunday in their game against the Huskies with a final score of 3-0. Saint Mary's (1-4-1) will play again on Saturday, October 3rd against StFX (4-0-1) at Huskies Stadium. Dalhousie (2-3-1) will be travelling to Acadia (3-1-1) to play in their next game on Friday, October 2nd.
