Tigers take the Battle of Halifax 3-0

(HALIFAX, NS) The Dalhousie Tigers defeated the Saint Mary's Huskies 3-0 Wednesday night in AUS women's soccer action. The two sides faced off at Wickwire Field for their second meeting of the season.

The Tigers had plenty of opportunities in the first half but only managed to capitalize on one. Jensen Hudder (White's Lake, BC) opened up the scoring in the 30th minute with a tap in goal courtesy of Patricia Murray (Coxheath, NS).

Hudder added her second goal of the match in the 83rd minute. Former Huskie, Michelle Yates (Fall River, NS) scored the final goal with a strike from outside the 18-yard box in the 86th minute.

Saint Mary's goalie Morgan Geremia (Calgary, AB) faced 17 shots and turned aside 14 of them.
The Tigers (3-2-1) are hosting the Capers (3-1-1) this Saturday, September 27th at Wickwire Field.
Saint Mary's (0-6-1) next action is at home on Sunday, September 28th against Acadia (3-0-3).
