Dalhousie Tigers fell to the UNB REDS with a final score of 4-0 on Saturday in Halifax.
The first period of the game between Dalhousie and the REDS saw a tightly contested faceoff battle, with Madison Wardle and Leah MacSween each securing multiple wins for Dalhousie. Despite several missed shots from both teams, it was the REDS' Lauren Carter who broke the stalemate with a goal at 16:17, assisted by April Reiner and Raine Murdoch. Throughout the period, Dalhousie's goalie, Grace Beer, made several key saves, turning away shots from Jorja Nystrom, Robyn Brokenshire, Avery Thurston, and others. The period ended with the REDS leading 1-0, as Dalhousie sought to capitalize on their faceoff successes in the upcoming periods.
