Robertson commits to Tigers for 2024-25

Dalhousie Tigers women’s hockey head coach Keifer House is pleased to announce the commitment of Hannah Robertson for the 2024-25 season.

A captain on the Thompson-Okanagan Lakers U18 AAA team in the British Columbia Elite Hockey League (BCEHL), Robertson recorded 18 regular season points this year while playing defence. She led her team to a second seed in the BCEHL playoffs and then on to a claim the U18AAA title last month. The November 2023 BCEHL Player of the Month was previously named to the 2022-23 all-star team.

Robertson and her Lakers teammates are participating in the 2024 Esso Cup this week in her hometown of Vernon, British Columbia.

“I chose Dalhousie University and the Tigers because I want to further my post-secondary education and play hockey at a U SPORTS level,” says Robertson. “I have heard nothing but amazing things about Dalhousie and Halifax and I think that going to the East Coast will be an unreal adventure and experience. I am so excited and cannot wait to go to Dalhousie and play for the Tigers. I am looking forward to this new adventure and bonding with new teammates.”

A multi-year member of the principal’s list and honour roll at Clarence Fulton Secondary School, will be studying kinesiology at Dalhousie.

“Hannah brings a combination of size and skill to our blueline,” says House. “She plays with a great stick and has great vision to go with it. We are looking forward to seeing her develop into an impactful player for the Tigers.”

The Tigers made the AUS playoffs for the second year in a row, but came up short against the SMU Huskies this past season.
