Tigers drop first regular season game of 2016

The Dalhousie Tigers fell to the Aigles Bleues in Moncton on Saturday night by a score of 2-0.

Émilie Bouchard stopped every shot she faced to lead the Aigles Bleues from the University of Moncton (8-5-0 = 16pts, 2nd position) to a 2-0 shutout of the Dalhousie University Tigers ( 6-7-0 = 12pts, 5th position).

Both Marie-Pier Arsenault (unassisted) and Corriveau (Katherine Dubuc, Amélie Dion) scored the goals Aigles Bleues,in the first minute 10 minutes from each other. Bouchard faced 27 shots for the Aigles Bleues and Mati Barrett faced 28 at the other end of the ice for the Tigers.

There was no scoring in the last two periods, despite numerous attacks on both sides.

The Tigers play the St. Thomas University Tommies in Frederiction tomorrow and the Aigles Bleues take on the Saint Mary's Huskies tomorrow at home.
