Tigers add Gosal for 2021-22 season

Dalhousie Tigers interim women’s basketball head coach Anton Berry is pleased to announce the commitment of Anjuli Gosal for the 2021-22 season.

Hailing from Brampton, Ontario, Gosal most recently suited up for Father John Redmond Catholic Secondary School in the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association. The 5’8 guard played her grade nine year for St. Marcellinus Secondary School and helped lead them to the Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association junior girls championship in 2018 and was named team MVP and St. Marcellinus’ rookie of the year for her efforts.

“I am super excited to play for Dalhousie next year,” says Gosal. “The school has a great academic and athletic reputation and the women’s basketball program is one that I am proud to be a part of. I am so grateful for the opportunity to pursue athletics at the university level and can’t wait to be a Tiger next year.”

After earning high honours all four years of high school, Gosal will be studying neuroscience at Dalhousie.

“Anjuli's dedication to development and willingness to improve makes her a great fit for our basketball program,” says Berry. “Anjuli's shooting ability and competitiveness will help strengthen our perimeter. Anjuli is a great teammate and excels in the classroom.”

The 2020-21 season for the women’s basketball team was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They are eager to return to the court for the 2021-22 season this fall.
