Tigers support Shoot for the Cure

The Tigers raised of $1,800 in the fight against breast cancer in their annual Shoot for the Cure game last weekend.

Thanks to pledges from many women's basketball supporters, Sophie Gaube, Meghan Greenland, Sven Stammberger and Alex Carson generated over a $1000 by shooting free throws at the half of the women's and men's games Friday night.

The rest of the funds raised came from pledges solicited by the women's basketball players ahead of the event and through donations collected at the game.

Thanks to everyone who supported this important initiative.

The Shoot for the Cure campaign has proven an overwhelming success since it was launched in the fall of 2007, with over $1.1 million in donations to date. All 47 U SPORTS women’s basketball schools will once again participate in the program for the seventh year in a row.
