This week features the women’s basketball team from the 1995-96 season. In this photo, we have Dr. Carolyn Savoy (Head Coach), Lindsay Collis, Dani Moe, Claire Polomark, Kathie Sanderson, Heather McIntyre, Nance O’Regan, Carolyn Wares, Jody Euloth, Sue Park, Natalie O’Regan (Manager), Shaun MacDonald (Assistant Coach), Alana Coffin, Christine Cunliffe, and Jackie Fleiger.

During this season, the team was named the AUAA Champions, an accomplishment that the women’s basketball team has only achieved 11 times since 1952.

Carolyn Wares was one of the AUS first team all-stars for this season. During her time on the team, she had been an AUS first team all-star for four consecutive years since the 93-94 season.

Teammates Jacky Flieger and Kathie Sanderson were AUS second team all-stars. This was the second year in a row that Sanderson was one of the second team all-stars and the first time for Flieger. Also, Jody Euloth was named AUAA Rookie of the Year for her performance

Dr. Carolyn Savoy was the women’s basketball coach for 30 years at Dalhousie. During her time as coach she had 530 games with the team and 389 wins. Adding to her accomplishments, she had a 73.4 winning percentage for her efforts.
