23 event wins for Tigers at ANS Open

(Halifax, NS) On Saturday, November 28th, the Dalhousie Tigers competed in the ANS Open at the Canada Games Centre for their first meet of the season.

Seventeen members of the Tigers' team came away with first place finishes for their events and the team as a whole won 23 out of the 44 individual events.

Sarah Taplin (Dartmouth, NS), Matthew Coolen (Halifax, NS), Shawna McKay (Moncton, NB), Corey Conforzi (Goulais River, ON), and Stephen Belyea (Amherst, NS) all came away with two individual wins each.

First years Mike Van Der Poel (Truro, NS), Lindsay Hemstock (Ottawa, ON), Kate MacLatchie (Halifax, NS), and Matthew Coolen all won events in their first career AUS meets.

The next track and field meet will be on Saturday, January 16th, 2016 at the Canada Games Centre.
