2020-21 Women's Swimming Season

From the Coach - Lance Cansdale

What a crazy year it has been so far!! That being said, I know that there are fantastic opportunities out there in the near future and when this pandemic is over, the racing will be faster than ever. That’s the premise we based this year’s training on... to be ready to take advantage for when we get back to a normal competition schedule.

Greatest Gains - For unwavering commitment to training with a laser focus on making positive gains.

Abbey Nichols

Abbey trained tirelessly all season and saw incredible improvements in her best events at the first time trial of the season. The distance swimmer moved herself into an integral piece of our relay schemes and came very close to attaining a qualifying standard for next year’s U SPORTS Championships in the 200m Freestyle.

Tiger of the Year - For unwavering commitment to training and devotion to the growth of the team.

Amy Hartling

Amy showed true grit, as she worked all season through a shoulder injury and while maintaining a challenging schedule with her Nursing Clinical. She was almost always the first one on deck first thing in the morning after an all-night shift at the hospital with a smile on her face.
