Swimmers win Dalhousie Invitation Meet

On the second day of the Dalhousie Invitational Swim meet, the host Tigers won seven of the 18 events on the schedule.

Tyler Immel-Herron led the way for the Tigers winning both the 400m freestyle and IM events. Not to be outdone, Lise Cinq-Mars also won two events, hitting the wal first in the 50m backstroke and 100m butterfly races. Other event winners for the Tigers included Isabel Sarty (400m freestyle) and Annie Douglas (400m IM). The Tigers also won the 400m freestyle relay.

Adam Deutsch had two wins for Acadia, winning the 50m and 200m breaststroke. Liem Brett (100m freestyle) and Patrick Henger (100m butterfly) also had wins for the Axemen, as did their 400m freestyle relay team.

Ryan George had two wins for Memorial, winning the 50m and 200m backstroke races. Veronica Reid also had a win in the 100m freestyle as did Jasmine Foran in the 50m breaststroke.

Olivia Feschuk and Madeleine Henry both had wins for Mount Allison, placing first in the 200m breaststroke and backstroke events, respectively.

After two days of competition, the Tigers won both the men's and women's team events. Next on the schedule is the Subway AUS championship February 9-11, 2018 at UNB.
