2023 Jeff Bredin Memorial Co-Ed Volleyball Tournament

2023 Jeff Bredin Memorial Co-Ed Volleyball Tournament

The 35th annual Jeff Bredin Memeorial Co-Ed Volleyball Tournament is set for Sunday, September 10, 2023.

Jeff Bredin was an outstanding graduate of Dalhousie University in 1985 with a degree in Physical Education. During his three seasons with the Tiger volleyball team his recognitions included AUAA All-Star, AUAA Playoff MVP and Dal Classic All-Star. An excellent middle player, he was one of the first spike servers in Canadian university volleyball. He contributed to youth sport in Metro through coaching a boy’s club team. Jeff commenced his teaching career in Saskatchewan in the fall of 1985. His life tragically ended in November of that same year shortly after returning from coaching his high school boy’s team in a tournament. The Jeff Bredin Memorial Scholarship and the Jeff Bredin Memorial Co-Ed Volleyball Tournament were both established in his memory. The scholarship fund provides annual athletic scholarships to deserving members of the varsity men’s volleyball team. All proceeds from the annual tournament advance to the scholarship fund.
