The UNB Reds topped the Dalhousie Tigers 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-17) in the final RSEQ match up of the regular season.

It was a tightly contest first set, with both teams trading points early on. UNB led by as many as seven points before hitting the technical time out up 16-11. UNB would continue to build their lead, thanks in part to some strong serving by Nick Glynn (Fredericton, N.B.) and take the first set 25-18.

Dalhousie took charge early on in the second set and had a two-point lead heading into the technical time out. They continued to lead, but Glynn's string serving anchored a comeback for the Reds and they took the second set 25-21.

The Tigers were again off to a great start in the third set until a number of unforced errors midway through gave UNB the momentum they needed to cruise to a 25-17 win to take the match 3-0.

Connor McConnell (Hanwell, M.B.) had a team-high 14 kills and added 10 digs, three kills and two aces. Eduardo Luchese (Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil) also had a solid game for the Reds, earning 10 kills and player of the game honours.

Graham Schmuland (Calgary, Alta.) led the Tigers with 14 kills and had five digs, while Ethan Boyd (Summerside, P.E.) added nine kills of his own.

UNB will move on to the RSEQ championship, while the season comes to an end for the Tigers.
