Tigers announce first recruit of 2024-25 season

Dalhousie Tigers men’s soccer head coach Alan Jazic is pleased to announce the commitment of Isaiah Tsouluhas-Posner for the 2024-25 season.

Hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Tsouluhas-Posner plays for Alliance United men’s reserve team in League1 Ontario. A centre back, he appeared in 10 regular season games for Alliance in the 2023 season, helping the team to a third-place finish in the North East Division.

The captain of Danforth Collegiate Technical Institute senior boys soccer team, he led the team to a Toronto District Secondary School Athletic Association (TDSSAA) South Region title this past fall.

Tsouluhas-Posner’s mother and all six of her siblings attended Dalhousie, with his aunts Anna and Dina Tsouluhas having both played for the Tigers women’s soccer team and his mother Litsa and Uncle Peter suited up for King’s College soccer teams.

“I am beyond excited to play for Coach Jazic and the Tigers and to continue my academic studies at Dalhousie,” says Tsouluhas-Posner. “I am so grateful for this opportunity and want to thank my family, friends, coaches and teammates who all played a role in helping to get me here.”

The two-time Danforth Collegiate team MVP, Tsouluhas-Posner is also a multi-year member of the honour roll. He will be studying kinesiology at Dalhousie.

“Isaiah is a very intelligent and cultured footballer who can play a variety of positions for us. He can play as a centre back, a right back and he’s comfortable in the "six" and "eight". Isaiah is coming from great playing background playing with Alliance United in League1 Ontario. More importantly, Isaiah is a high achiever in the classroom. I’m really looking forward to working with Isaiah over the next four to five years. He’ll be a great addition to our team!”

The Tigers went on a 5-0 run at the end of the 2023 season to sneak into the AUS playoffs before getting knocked out in the quarterfinals.
