MacDonald joins the men's soccer roster for the 2024-25 season!

Dalhousie Tigers men’s soccer head coach Alan Jazic is pleased to announce the commitment of Kysac MacDonald for the 2024-25 season.  

Hailing from Hammonds Plain, Nova Scotia, MacDonald plays for Charles P. Allan High School and Suburban Football Club. MacDonald and his CPA teammates won the won both the league and regional titles before falling in the School Sport Nova Scotia championship final in November.  

A three-year member of Suburban FC’s U17 AAA team, he is also a member of the Whitecaps Academy Excel program and was a member of the Halifax Wanderers U18 team that won the Canada Youth Cup in 2023.  

"I'm incredibly excited to attend Dalhousie and meet my new teammates,” says MacDonald. “I am looking forward to pursuing my academic goals and pushing myself on the soccer pitch. It will be an honour and privilege to wear the Tigers colours and to be a part of Dalhousie, and I can't wait to contribute my passion and dedication to the team's success." 

A multi-year member of the Principal’s Lists at CPA, MacDonald will be studying commerce at Dalhousie.  

“I’m really excited to be welcoming Kysac to our program,” says Jazic. “Kysac is a very technical player who plays with intelligence and composure.  Impressively, he can play anywhere on the pitch, and he’ll bring lots of options to us as a team. He can be a very effective right back and he can also play in the middle of the park in a 6 or 8. More importantly, he’s a great teammate who does everything at a high standard. He’ll be a great addition to our team and program & I’m very excited work with Kysac over the next four to five years.”  

The Tigers went undefeated in their last five regular season games in 2023 to qualify for the AUS championship before falling to UNB in the quarter-finals.
